Toyota Key Fob Battery Replacement/Not Working/Change

Toyota Key Fob Battery Replacement/Not Working/Change
They look great. Where do you get Baltic birch plywood? Nobody around here even knows what it is. I like the look of it and probably wouldn’t use edge banding. I’ll save that for regular plywood, which seems to be the only thing I can get in my area.
I have to visit a lumber mill about 45 minutes away to get the good stuff. The regular hardware stores don’t carry it.
Great work really..do you have dimensions and measurements?
I would love to offer this but every kitchen sink is unique so it would be irrelevant to offer them. The only thing I can suggest is to use side mount slides that are rated at 4x your weight usage. Aka if you plan to store >25lbs in a drawer get 100lbs rated slides. Aka vertical slides when used horizontally go to 1/4 weight rating.
Are you using side mount slides as bottom mount? No problem?
Yes, I used 100lbs side mount slides as bottom slides which end up being rated at 25 pounds each when used this way, I used 2 per drawer.
You made that look so easy!!! Hopefully ours will go that same way. Thanks so much!!
This video is exactly what I am looking for. Thank you. What slide did you use for the bottom slide? Did you also use the side-mounted side for the bottom?
I used 100 pound rated vertical slide mounts underneath the bottom drawers which takes them down to 25 pound rated
Your setup was uneven. You should measure how far apart you want the rails to sit then adjust both sides so you are centre on the cart, this will evenly distribute the weight on both wheels. That’s why it has measurements on the sliding rail. Also, the stand should be facing the bow. 😊
yeh $800 electric conversion kit... OUCH
Loads cheaper than the $1500-$2000 built ones, plus they work great!
Thank you
You are welcome!
I love the design
Thank you
Different strokes for different folks, but I would have skipped the edge banding. One of the best things about Baltic birch is that the edges look so nice.
Another great option for sure!
Dang! What a great solution for getting around that center support! Thanks..... that earned a sub!
Thanks!
I got this one but don’t leave your kayak hooked up to the cart while in storage or in your garage. The info says it’s rated at around 300 lbs. I left my cart hooked up yo my kayak while in my garage and the tires are hard plastic and will leave a dent in the tires.
Good to know, thanks for the advice
Did you use Side Mount slides for your bottom mount slides? I am considering doing the same as i have a lot of slides left over and would rather use them than buy more. Thanks! Great video.
I sure did. I used 100lb rated side mounts underneath the bottoms. They are reduced to 25lb ratings when used underneath fyi, so make sure you use heavy duty slides. I wouldn’t recommend doing this with the light duty slides.
Hi. How long did you make the vertical peice for the transducer
21” vertical shaft length, with the 90° elbow around 22 inches total
@5:23: Where you live, do they allow exposed NM cable in the cabinet (e.g., to your garbage disposal)?
😂
TN
Hi, is there anyone who know how to do the same thing on a SeaDoo Spark (2019) ?
Great idea.
Thanks!
No fasteners?
Not sure what you mean by that, there are screws that fastened into the drawers and the cabinet
Is there a second thermostat for this motor?
Not that I am aware of on the 60hp 4 stroke merc.
What are the cabinet floor slides they look different from the drawer slides?
Same slides were used for the side mount and bottom mount. 100lb rated soft close slides from Lowe’s.
Hi mate why didn't you just heat the pvc and squashing it flat it's a lot better stronger as well 😊😊😊
Good idea. Didn’t think of it!
I have 22 gti se 170 and I have to have the key connected to reset.. PSA for anyone with that model
You're out of frame during the assembly process.???
Sorry
Great video, especially the trick about the 4th plug that was hard to get to. We had already spent an hour trying to replace it. That was the only spark plug we had to replace after it had worked it's way loose. Now the engine starts nicely, and runsn well overall, but the idle is much higher, leading to very rough forward or backward changes. Can you think of something we might have hit that screwed up our idle? Thanks.
Thanks! Since I’m not a professional mechanic, I would be guessing. My first thought is if you didn’t touch anything else maybe the gapping on the spark plugs is incorrect? If it’s not that then, maybe something has worked its way loose elsewhere.
@@DIYBuildouts Kind of you to reply so quickly. We did gap it correctly thanks to your video, but we dislodge a tube on nearby that regulates the idle speed. Found that answer on another video. All good now. Thanks again.
I own the same exact ski and I cant clear this code to save my life (I should add that I performed the required maintenance).
You have to do it within the first 15 seconds. That’s really the only hiccup I can imagine you may run into. Watch the video a couple times and then you’ll nail it!
Great project! And I know it's a weird compliment, but that is the nicest plywood I have ever seen 🤣
Thanks! And yes baltic birch plywood is the best!
Just wondering, does the 90 degree elbow just friction fit? I would have guessed that moving the transducer up and down into the water would wear it out and become loose. I know the line won’t allow you to lose the transducer, just thought it may be annoying if the elbow pops off, or gets so loose the transducer might ride up.
So I glued the one side, and the side connection I hit with sandpaper to rough it up slightly. This allows it to swing up/down but with hand force. It stays in place when pedaling, then easily swings up when you are going to land the kayak. I have been very happy with how this turned out!
@@DIYBuildouts Thanks!
Can I start from the bottom up ??
Sure. Doesn’t make a difference so long as the wires go back to the proper location as far as I know.
So does the transducer arm not move when ur moving in the water ?
It holds still even under motion at 3-5mph when peddling.
@@DIYBuildouts thank you
how about on 2022 rxpx.Thank you
Not sure but I would imagine it’s the same if not very similar. I own a GTX myself so that’s all I can tell you.
Hi i have an ober heating problem on my 60 hp merc 6 4 stroke on my 2014 mako skiff It keeps overheating at full throttle.. i dont think it should be doing this.. ive done every maintenance possible and new thermostat water impellar the boat runs excellent has perfect conpression.. it just doesnt seem to like running at full throttle even for 2 minutes over heats and has a problem.. but it never throws an over heat alarm? Does your boat not run full throttle? Seems to like 4500 rpms and under
Sorry to hear that. My boat runs at full throttle just fine. If yours is overheating, my first thought is the impeller needs to be replaced, and maybe some of the gaskets around it so that it’s properly sealed and cooling. If you’ve already done all of that, you may need to take it to a professional because there could be an electrical issue, or something other than the standard cooling cycles at play.
Did you add the drawer slides to the underside of the sliding boxes and then slide them into the slides mounted on the 3/4 plywood strips. Would this allow you to then push the strips to the back wall to screw in and then slide the cabinet forward to screw through the slide into the bottom of the cabinet. I watched the video a few times but could not figure out the order the slides were aligned and then mounted. Thanks in advance
Correct! I attached the slides to the bottom of the cabinetry tray, then put everything in position, then carefully slid the tray forward with a secondary hand for support. This allowed me to access those rear screw holes to mount the tray down and back. Going about it this way insured that the tray could slide easily, and all of the tracks were perfectly aligned.
@@DIYBuildouts Thanks, that is what I figured you did, looks much easier that side mounting the bottom drawers and trying to keep everything level
What brand of ladder
I got it from Amazon, I wanted a four step ladder so I searched for that.
how about for a 2018 155 wake ?
Not sure, I don’t work for SeaDoo. I just own a GTX 300 myself and experienced this issue personally so after making sure that the intake was clear of debris, I problem solved online to find the digital resolution to the dashboard and lock up.
Good video. I'm putting an hour meter on my 50hp. Wonering if I have to take the coil pack off to get closer to the actual plug or if it's close enough to wrap it by the coil pack. Thought you may know. Thanks
Thanks. Unfortunately, I never installed an hour meter on my unit so I’m not sure how to help you.
Have you tried it in sand on a beach. Every one I've used digs down into the sand..
I have not tried this cart on sand, but I would think you could narrow your search down to the fat rubber tired carts if that is your dedicated purpose. Being in East Tennessee I don’t need sand tires. I need more rugged tires to bounce over rocks and hard terrain.
Did a similar setup on my first kayak. I bought a scotty mount and found that the 1/2” pvc will slide through the side of the scotty mount. This enabled the arm to swing up easily. Only issue was it would swing up a little too easy at times when moving fast the water would swing it up some. Used that for years and eventually bought the scotty arm that goes into the top of the mount. The scotty arm was like $20-$30
Yeah, I had the Scotty on my last kayak but wasn’t a fan. I thought this time around I would come up with a new solution. I will say that this does not spin or come up like some do so I have not needed to replace it. It’s been quite handy, especially for its cost.
I'd very much like to see the video...mine is on its way so any help is most appreciated
Sorry I have since sold the boat, but I would tell you to mark out the locations with painters tape above where you plan to drill and spend 4x the time on lining everything up from the top, then actually drilling.
oh man .. i need this. Can you share the exact model ladder you used here? thanks.
I wish I could, but I am not an Amazon affiliate at this time. I went on Amazon and searched for a four step ladder and bought the first one that popped up.
Clever!!
Thanks!
Grtting my goodoes to rog this up myself! Grest idea, thanks for sharing sir! 💪🏼😎
:-)
I have the same boat and want to install this for scalloping season. I’d love to see the installation video if you have it. If not…please provide the materials used in the installation. Thanks!
Hey lookin to do this but somehow worried about the gunwale taking all that repeated force there … 🤔
I was initially worried about that as well, but I can say after using it for over a year there have been zero issues. I went with four bolts for my installation and the load is very well dispersed across a large surface area.
Hi how long have you had that VEVOR Heavy Duty Kayak Cart, and has it broke on you at all? Also do you have to strap it down?
Hello, I’ve had the kayak cart for 4 months and it’s still like new! Works perfectly. You don’t have to strap it down, but it comes with straps if you’d like to. My old town 106 pdl stays on the cart with no straps perfectly. Still highly recommend the cart.
The funniest thing is I hate mdf but I found out most ‘high end’ cabinets use mdf because you can get a piano gloss finish with it And the high end people that want the high gloss don’t care if it’s mdf
I am not associated with any kind of professional production of cabinetry, but I can say that everything I’ve built has held up perfectly. If I had to do it over again, I would not change materials.
how about i build a platofrm with wheels hook it to this and ride
Doesn’t sound like a good idea, but you do you
I got one for my Bonafide RS117. It’s been great so far!
Great to hear! I have really enjoyed mine with my old town 106 pdl.
i changed my spark plugs on my 40hp fourstroke. when i started it the idle was very uneven and running rough when giving gas. engine stopped with non-critical engine failiure. Any clues for a rookie boat mechanic? thanks from Sweden for a good educational video
Hello! There could be many things that are causing your problem. The way I would diagnose it, and I am not an official mechanic I should point out, is by looking at what you recently changed. If it was working fine before the spark plugs but now after changing the spark plugs it’s running rough…It is likely the new spark plugs. It may be the wrong brand or the gapping on the spark plugs may be incorrect. After that, you are going to have to go down the list of diagnosis from fuel line and all sorts of other things that are more complex then this comment can handle
U made that look really easy your goated bro #newsubscriber 🔥
Appreciate it!
Do you know if this will convert a ClicGear pushcart with a fixed front wheel?
It should, they have two adapters available when you order that fit Clicgear carts. You’ll see the options during checkout under “select adapter”
